You Will Be My Witness

Give

We give as stewards of God’s gifts to us

Giving is a spiritual exercise. It allows us to practice good stewardship of God’s gifts to us. In addition to donations of time and services, your monetary gifts to Epiphany enable us to continue to provide a venue, teachings, music, and opportunities for community and transformation in ways that bring more love, joy, and peace into your life and our shared world.

Epiphany accepts monetary gifts in many forms, including annual pledges and monthly payments, and online/text giving, as well as gifts of stock donations and bequests.

We’d be happy to talk with you about ways to incorporate giving to Epiphany into your financial planning.

Annual Giving

Your annual gift is a promise to pay a specified amount over the next year. Having a strong base of pledges allows Epiphany to budget with confidence for the coming season of life at the parish, ensuring that we are stewarding our resources effectively, for God’s greater glory.

Text to Give

Text To Give

Giving is as easy as sending a text. Simply:

  • TYPE “73256” into the recipient line
  • TYPE “EP1805” (one word) and the amount into the message.
  • Press SEND and follow prompts.

To select multiple funds choose +Another Fund and select your amount.
To set up a recurring gift, select Give Multiple Times and follow the prompts and click Continue.

Securities

Giving stocks whose value has appreciated both helps Epiphany and helps with your own tax bill. If you itemize deductions, you are credited with the full market value of the securities on the date of donation, just as with a cash donation. If, instead, you had sold the securities and then donated the cash, you would owe capital gains tax on the gain in value.
For stock, mutual funds, and IRA contributions, contact Pam Demian, Business Manager and Accountant, for instructions at 206-324-2573 or pdemian@epiphanyseattle.org

Bequests

Please consider Epiphany with a bequest in your will. You also may wish to consider a Charitable Remainder Trust, which allows you to continue to draw income from securities which have been bequeathed to the Church. See your financial advisor to discuss whether this approach makes sense for you. If you would like to discuss a bequest with someone at Epiphany, please contact Contact Pam Demian, Business Manager and Accountant, at 206-324-2573 or pdemian@epiphanyseattle.org
