Mike and his wife Barbara joined Epiphany shortly after their marriage in the summer of 1968. They have both been involved in a number of parish activities over the years, but Mike’s primary commitment has been to service and outreach. He has a principal interest in matters of justice––economic, racial, environmental, or otherwise––as embodied in the call of Jesus to serve the “least of these.” He has been privileged to join others in the parish in many ministries, from Nightwatch in Seattle to supporting a village in Guatemala. Thanks to Epiphany’s generosity, we raised significant funds over the last six months to help deal with the human need arising from the pandemic. Mike urges others to consider joining the Service and Outreach team. The work, he says is needed, gratifying, and always in need of extra hands. Mike’s other passions in the life of the church are church music and liturgy. Having sung in the Epiphany choir since the mid-70s, Mike says, “I encourage your support of the newly outstanding music program, including the Music Guild and the Music Academy.”
