Bible Study: The Royal Priesthood in the Age of AI

Bible Study: The Royal Priesthood in the Age of AI
Fridays | Beginning September 12 | 10:30 – 11:30 am
Christie House Library and on Zoom

The Bible is full of wisdom that transcends the ages, and it’s worth testing that truth against the world we live in today. Artificial intelligence is no longer science fiction; it is a growing reality shaping how we work, learn, and even relate to one another. As machines become more capable, we are left with pressing questions: What does it mean to be human? Where does our dignity come from? What is our calling in a technological age?

Join the Reverend Doyt L. Conn Jr. for a 12-part Bible study that explores these questions through Scripture. Each session will focus on a biblical story or passage, inviting us to consider how the ancient truths of the Bible speak to the challenges and hopes of our AI-shaped world. Together, we’ll reflect on themes of human identity, freedom, and purpose, exploring what it means to be a “royal priesthood” (1 Peter 2:9) called to love God and neighbor in a world tempted to measure value by efficiency and output.

This study will help us see why our humanity, our soul, our heart, our embodied presence, is irreplaceable, and how the Church can offer hope and wisdom in a rapidly changing world.
