Celebrating The Rev. Kate Wesch

Dear Epiphany,

KateMany of you remember Kate Wesch, our beloved Senior Associate, who was here at Epiphany for over 10 years. She left in 2018 to be the Rector of the Saint John the Baptist Parish in West Seattle, where she accomplished great things in a short period of time. Recently she’s been called to serve as Rector of St. John’s Parish in Essex Connecticut. It’s a super old church, founded in 1790. I invite you to check them out at stjohnsessex.org.

On Thursday, September 30, she will be installed as their 29th Rector. I will be there as the guest preacher, and I’m looking forward to it! I’m also looking forward to seeing Joel, who is planning to work as a Flight Engineer with the Air National Guard, and Avery who is in 6th grade and Myles who is in 2nd grade. They also have a new dog, Molly Moon (like the ice cream shop) the Berniedoodle, from the same breeder we got our beloved Newphypoo, Minnie. If you happen to be near Essex Connecticut on September 30 at 6:15 pm (EDT) please come to the installation service.

I know Kate would be thrilled to see you. You can also reach her at kate@stjohnsessex.org. If you can not be there in person, you may stream it. The link can be found at stjohnsessex.org. Finally, I want to thank all of you for how you added to the formation of Kate as a priest and a leader. She continues to bless the church universal and carry the message of Jesus Christ to all with ears to hear.
