Irene was ordained in the Diocese of Olympia by Bishop Greg Rickel in 2011. She began her seminary studies at Seattle University and completed her M. Div. at Church Divinity School of the Pacific. After ordination, she served for two years at St. Mark’s Cathedral, and then to St. Stephens, Laurelhurst. In 2014, she accepted a call as Rector at Epiphany Church in Honolulu, Hawaii. In 2019, she went to serve in Nippon Sei Ko Kai (NSKK), the Anglican Church in Japan. She served as the Rector at All Souls Anglican Episcopal Church on Okinawa until her retirement in 2026. Prior to the priesthood, Irene practiced law in Denver and in Seattle.
She lives in the Lakewood/Seward Park area with her two cats and husband Michael who commutes to work in Philadelphia, PA.
