Pam began serving at Epiphany as Associate Priest in July 2022.
Before making Tacoma her home, Pam grew up on the East Coast. She majored in German at the College of William and Mary, followed by graduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she met her husband, Dave. After they relocated to Princeton, NJ, Pam began what became a 26-year career in the medical malpractice insurance industry. When Dave joined the faculty at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Pam continued her career with a start-up physician-owned company, Physicians Insurance in Seattle. Twenty-two years later, after hearing a call to ordained ministry, she retired from her positions as Vice President of Underwriting and of Regulatory Compliance and began discerning where God was calling her.
Pam then earned her Master’s in Pastoral Studies and M.Div. from Seattle University’s School of Theology and Ministry. During her formation she had the privilege of serving at St. James-Kent and St. John’s-Olympia, and she served as a transitional deacon at her home parish, St. Andrew’s in Tacoma.
Pam has a passion for equipping and empowering others to live out their baptismal promises in daily life and serves on the board of Partners for Baptismal Living (formerly, Episcopalians on Baptismal Mission).
Pam and her husband Dave are grateful that their son John, daughter-in-law Katie, and granddaughter Sienna live nearby. And their lives wouldn’t be complete without their faithful basset hound, Aurora.
