Every Sunday at Epiphany, more than 80 volunteers work together to make three morning services, coffee hour, adult formation, Sunday school, and Evensong happen. Contact Amanda at amanda@epiphanyseattle.org to learn more and get involved.

  • Altar Guild
    Work behind the scenes to set up for the Eucharist.
  • Flower Guild
    Arrange the flowers for the altar.
  • Acolyte
    Assist during worship. Tasks include carrying the cross, the gospel and assisting during communion.
  • Eucharistic Minister
    Lead the Prayers of the People and serve communion.
  • Thurifer 
    Swing incense during the 11:00 am service and on special occasions
  • Usher
    Welcome people, pass out bulletins, and collect the offering.
  • Candle Ministry
    Fill and maintain the pew candles and candles used at various services.
  • Lectors
    Read the lesson during the service.
  • Livestream Operator
    Join the rotation of people who start and monitor the livestream of the 8:45 am service.
  • Sunday School Teacher
    Help teach our elementary children on Sunday morning.
  • Youth Group Helper
    Help with gatherings of our middle or high schoolers.
  • Nursery Helper
    Spend time with our youngest children on Sunday morning.
  • Coffee Hour
    Help set up, clean up, or bring treats to share.
  • Parkshore Lay Ministers
    Lead 9:30 am Sunday worship service at Parkshore Senior Living.
  • Choir
    New members are always encouraged to join this active and caring community of singers.

  • Help with Parish Events
    Assist with any aspect of planning and executing events such as coffee hour, brunches, picnics, dinners, and other special events by assisting with decorations, bringing food, set up, clean up, or whatever else needs to be done.

Education is a way to engage with your Spiritual Journey. At Epiphany, we offer a variety of classes and groups to help you ask questions, learn, and grow. Contact Amanda at amanda@epiphanyseattle.org to learn more and get involved.

  • Adult Formation
    Sundays at 10 am in the Great Hall, adults gather to learn via presentations and discussions.
  • Rector’s Bible Study
    Fridays at 10:30 am, Doyt offers a deeper exploration of the Kingdom of God and what it means to live in it.
  • Sunday School
    Sundays at 10 am, age appropriate Christian education for kids Pre-K-5th grade.
  • C. S. Lewis Minyan
    Thursdays at 8:30 am, discuss the works of C.S. Lewis.
  • Education for Ministry (EfM)
    A 4-year program in theological education based upon small-group study and practice. Sign up in September.
  • Discernment Groups
    Over 7 weeks learn tools and techniques to engage God more fully in your life and decision making, especially if you are approaching or contemplating a major change in your life. New groups form periodically.

Pastoral care is how as a community we care for each other. There are many ways to engage in this work. Contact Amanda at amanda@epiphanyseattle.org if you want to get involved in one of these ministries.

  • Meals Ministry
    Prepare and deliver meals to parishioners who are in need of extra help.
  • Card Writers
    Send cards to parishioners who need extra care just to let them know we are with them and praying for them.
  • Parkshore Lay Ministers
    Lead a Sunday, 9:30 am worship service with our friends at Parkshore Senior Living.
  • Flower Ministry
    Lovingly create and deliver floral arrangements to parishioners homebound or in the hospital.

  • Office Volunteer
    The office is open weekdays from 9-4.  Welcome visitors, answer the phone, and other administrative tasks.
  • Library Organization
    Organize and maintain Epiphany’s small library.
  • Count the Offering
    Two parishioners meet each Monday to count donations from the Sunday offering plate.
  • Communications Ministry
    Assist in any one of a variety of ways to communicate with the parish related to the website, social media presence, video recordings, photography, email newsletter, or print publications.
  • Mowing and weeding
    Mow the grass or weed the Epiphany gardens during the summer.

Our Children and Youth Ministries bring together parishioners, staff, and our broader community to nurture the spiritual formation of children and young people at Epiphany. If you want to get involved, contact Amanda at amanda@epiphanyseattle.org.

Music is a central part of what we do at Epiphany. There are ways to get involved whether you are a musician or want a supporting role. Contact Amanda at amanda@epiphanyseattle.org for more information.

  • Choir
    New members are always encouraged to join this active and caring community of singers.
  • Concert and Evensong Support
    Being a host is a great way to help greet visitors to Epiphany. Hosts will welcome attendees, set out reception items (Epiphany provides food and beverage), and ensure all is cleaned afterward.
