Dear Epiphany,
There’s a presidential election coming up, Tuesday, November 6. You may have heard. It’s hard to know the outcome, but I do know that prayer is critically important in keeping us centered despite the outcome. It is our common calling, irrespective of who support this election.
So here is the plan for connecting through Epiphany as the election unfolds:
- Monday, November 4, 7:00 pm: Ecumenical Service of Personal Peace and Respite at Epiphany with Grace Presbyterian, Mount Baker Presbyterian and the Japanese Presbyterian churches.
- Tuesday, November 5, all day: Chapel open for prayer and to walk the labyrinth. If you need to talk to or pray with someone during the day please reach out to Doyt at 310-625-5039, Kate at 206-605-7746, Diane at 206-6174994, or Lex at 512-809-1284. We are here and available to you.
Also, given that we don’t know what may happen as a result of the election, be on the lookout for an email from Doyt connecting to a parish-wide Zoom call. God willing, there will be no reason for the community to gather, but if there is, we will be ready.
- Wednesday, November 6, 7:00 pm: Taizé Service for Peace and Unity in the church at Epiphany.
We are people of resurrection who know in our souls that the bad thing is never the last thing.
Yours in Christ
Doyt+
